Stone Crab. Fresh stone crabs are found in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. They are hand harvested, one claw at a time, and thrown back to the sea. Joe Weiss, and his wife Jennie, discovered this unknown delicacy in the early 1920s, and soon after, began serving them at their restaurant in Miami Beach.
Again not as good as Joe's. Flavor and temperature. I think it would have been better colder. Also I think Joe's uses fresh Whip cream and not Reddi Whip that Billy's did. at least it tasted like it did. Don't get me wrong. Stone crab is stone crab and these were delicious. Soups are nicely seasoned, salads are fresh and so cold. Bone in rib-eye is top notch and cooked to perfection.
